Quality Engineer
Your Role:
As Quality Engineer, you will make sure that the quality level of the IHC produced or procured products is up to the IHC standard. You will carry out product inspections during the fabrication process in our factory in Taloja as well as checks on the premises of suppliers.
Your contribution to meet the customers requirement is critical and you enjoy spending time on the shop floor in order to make the product better. You will report to the Quality and SHEQ officer in India, and together with the operations team you will further professionalise the quality processes within IHC India,
as Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
collaborating with the quality and operations team to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards
you thrive in getting to the bottom of things by creating a root cause analysis concerning quality issues.
review all applicable quality assurance documents like Welding documents, NDT documents, ITP, MRB etc.
in close cooperation with the operations team you will schedule inspections on the floor in order to meet delivery deadlines
you will prepare quality reports by analysing and summarizing the information gathered and make a recommendation to the team
maintain records and logs concerning the quality issues identified
Your Profile:
you have a strong attention to detail
you have excellent communication skills as well as conceptual- and analytical thinking capabilities
fluent (speech & writing) in Hindi and English. Other languages a pre, but not a necessity
a bachelor degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or related field
5-10 years of experience in steel fabrications/mechanical production environment
in depth knowledge of fabrication processes like welding, cutting, bending, assembly
understanding of materials commonly used in fabrication and their properties
experience in working with inspection agencies like BV, IRS, Lloyds etc.
good computer skills, MS Office and experience with ERP
