N-Sea is looking for a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.
As a Geotechnical Engineer at N-Sea, you will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations and providing technical support for our subsea projects. You will work closely with other engineers and project managers to ensure that our projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
• Planning and overseeing; preparation of project methodology, documents, project planning, schedules, and equipment lists for geotechnical site investigation campaigns for pipelines, cables, and deep foundations.
• Reviewing and analysing geotechnical site investigation results, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Evaluating RFQs and proposals for outsourced geotechnical engineering work.
• Coordinating role between subcontractors and clients in relation to technical aspects.
• Preparing and reviewing technical solutions and schedules for commercial geotechnical proposals.
• Conducting geotechnical analyses such as BAS, CBRA, gap analysis, and soil assessments.
• Developing geotechnical maps using ARCGIS or QGIS.
• Providing support to tenders and projects on pipeline and cable burial assessments.
• Providing support to tenders and projects on site investigation campaigns.
• Assisting in seafloor stability and settlement calculations for various projects.
• Staying up to date with relevant geotechnical regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
• Offering technical expertise within project teams and supporting cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Performing additional tasks within the scope of the role as reasonably required by the company.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology.
• Proven experience with Geotechnical engineering in a Marine Environment.
• Understanding of offshore pipeline and cable burial operations.
• Understanding of offshore site investigations.
• Affinity to the offshore industry and interest in associated subsea works.
• Analytical, pro-active, solution-oriented and innovative, flexible and responsible.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Experience with ARCGIS or QGIS.
• Experience with Marine Rules, Regulations and Guidelines.
