Are you a proactive and detail-oriented geophysics professional with a passion for transforming raw survey data into high-quality deliverables? N-Sea is looking for an experienced Senior Geophysicist to strengthen our growing team.
As a Senior Geophysicist at N-Sea, you play a crucial role in the processing, interpretation, and Quality Control of acquired geophysical data. You will ensure that raw data is transformed into final products that meet both our company standards and specific client requirements. Working from our headquarters in Dordrecht, and occasionally offshore, you’ll be part of a team committed to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:
• Present and report survey data to internal and external stakeholders;
• Support offshore teams and coordinate with onshore colleagues to optimize data quality;
• Communicate with project team members to improve short-term data quality;
• Liaise with the Head of Data Centre to optimize long-term data flows and procedures;
• Process data effectively using SonarWiz and Oasis Montaj software;
• Develop procedures and training programs for junior team members;
• Act as an advisor to the tender and operational teams;
• Create and update procedures and work instructions related to data processing when required;
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure high-quality deliverables;
• Maintain strong communication skills both written and verbal in English;
• Ensure high levels of detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines;
• Advise the Data Manager on the progress and quality of data interpretation;
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of GIS software.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Geography, Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline;
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a similar role;
• Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team;
• Excellent time management and communication skills;
• Critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and quality;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with GIS tools;
• Advisory mindset, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
