As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a dedicated Proposal Engineer to strengthen our team and help us unlock new opportunities in the maritime sector.

Your responsibilities 

As a Proposal Engineer, you serve as the vital link between our clients, the technical development team, and the sales department.
You translate the technical capabilities of our innovative products into customized solutions that meet each client’s unique needs. Within the sales team, you act as the primary source of technical expertise and support. You are passionate about sustainable technology and driven by innovation within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and optimizing (standard) designs so that the cost price can be decreased, and the quality, reliability, and functionality of the VentoFoils can be increased.
  • Consultation with various departments and external parties to arrive at an optimized design.
  • Selecting the best fitting VentoFoil with the necessary equipment, based on the client’s criteria and our range of standard designs and standard options.
  • Drafting (or having drafted) the general plan, technical specifications, cost price calculation, and delivery date within the framework of the client’s request.
  • Monitoring the progress of the project in the pre-sales phase.
  • Support the Sales Manager with your technical input during meetings with the customer. Where necessary by means of presentations and/or calculations.
  • Providing optimal knowledge transfer, when a tender becomes an order.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Naval Architecture and engineering.
  • Experience: Preferably a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Personal Traits: Driven, ambitious, proactive, and prepared to go the extra mile. Hands-on, accurate, well-structured, reliable, and discrete.
  • Team Player: Flexible and able to work effectively within a dynamic work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch is a pre.
