About us

Econowind B.V. is a true pioneer in sustainable maritime technology. The company provides innovative wind-assisted propulsion solutions for the shipping industry. Our mission is to reduce the environmental impact of maritime transport while simultaneously improving the operational efficiency of our customers.

As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a dedicated Sales Secretary to strengthen our team and help us unlock new opportunities in the maritime sector.

The role

As Secretary Sales at Econowind, you are a supportive and proactive force within the Commercial department. You naturally see what needs to be done, take ownership and ensure that action points are clearly captured, followed up and properly documented. You keep administrative work accurate and up to date in our systems and help maintain structure in a fast-growing environment.

You support the CCO and the commercial department by preparing documents, meetings, taking minutes and translating discussions into clear next actions. In addition, you help coordinate customer visits, events, and internal sessions, ensuring everything is well organized and runs smoothly. You also support the team with structuring the available commercial information, preparation of sales presentations and content, helping materials to be clear, consistent and ready to use.

You actively think along about process improvements, signal bottlenecks in daily workflows and come up with practical, hands-on solutions. Through your work, you enable the Commercial team to operate efficiently and professionally.

While you work closely with Sales, this role is not about selling or closing deals, but about supporting, organizing and creating clarity behind the scenes. It is a passionate, hands-on position for someone who thrives in a no-nonsense, low-threshold culture and enjoys making things work at Econowind.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the CCO and Commercial team with meeting preparation, agendas, minutes and action lists.

  • Turn discussions and decisions into clear next steps and follow up on actions.

  • Keep commercial administration, documents and systems accurate and up to date.

  • Coordinate customer visits, events and internal meetings, handling all practical arrangements.

  • Help structure and maintain commercial information and shared files.

  • Prepare and update sales presentations and commercial materials so they are clear and ready to use.

  • Spot inefficiencies in daily workflows and suggest practical improvements.

  • Provide reliable day-to-day support to ensure the Commercial team works smoothly and efficiently.

Skills & Experience

  • MBO+ or HBO level of working and thinking.
  • 2 years of relevant experience, starters are also welcome.
  • Strong organizational skills and a natural tendency to support and structure work.
  • Proactive and hands-on; you see work, take initiative and follow through.
  • Experience with ERP systems (or eager to learn fast).
  • Accurate and disciplined in administrative work and system usage.
  • Comfortable capturing action points, maintaining overviews and keeping processes on track.
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Enjoys working in a supportive role and enabling others to perform better.
  • Solution-oriented, with an eye for process improvements and practical optimizations.
  • Comfortable working in a low-threshold, no-nonsense and collaborative environment.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

What we offer

  • A role through which you can actively contribute to sustainable change.
  • A competitive salary with additional benefits.
  • Work in a forward-thinking team of professionals committed to revolutionizing sustainability in the maritime industry.
  • Flexibility to work (partially) from home.
  • Personal growth opportunities and room to learn, grow, and thrive further within an ambitious, rapidly-growing scale-up.
  • A team culture where your ideas, opinions, and contributions are valued at all levels.
