SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are actively seeking an experienced SHEQ Specialist ready to embark on an exciting career journey with Mammoet. This role is based at our Jakovich centre Head Office working Monday to Friday reporting to the SHEQ Manager. As the SHEQ Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the development, governance, and continuous improvement of the SHEQ systems across the Mammoet Australia business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Support implementation and improvement of Mammoet’s SHEQ Management System in line with ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001requirements
Provide SHEQ support to project and site teams, ensuring compliance with legal, client, and internal requirements
Lead the development and roll out of new SHEQ systems and processes
Conduct risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and ensure effective controls are in place
Conduct audits, inspections, and field verifications to assess compliance and identify improvements
Lead or assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and action close-outs
Analyse SHEQ data, prepare reports, and support management reviews

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Experience in a similar role in Mining, Construction, Transport or Heavy Lifting highly preferable
Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or related discipline
Working knowledge of ISO 45001 / 9001 / 14001 standards
Demonstrated success in setting up and implementing new systems and processes
ICAM or equivalent incident investigation certification
Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
Flexibility to provide shutdown coverage across our Pilbara sites as required
Current Valid Australian Driver’s License
