About the role:

Location: Sharjah

As a result of our continued growth plans at Motive, we are now hiring for a Project Manager for our MENA division.

Based our Motive base in Sharjah, UAE, and reporting into the Regional Manager for MENA, this role is responsible for the management of the planning, scheduling, financial and administrative requirements of engineering and rental projects of Motive MENA. The primary objective of the role is to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the client’s requirements.

The new Project Manager will play an integral part in ensuring that success continues, by guiding our projects efficiently, supporting our clients and helping to build our business globally.
 

About the team:

As a part of Motive, you’ll be a key member of a close-knit, hardworking, and skilled team: one that strives for working to high standards and specifications in the equipment we manufacture & the services we provide.  The MENA team are all based in the UAE, and you will be supported by a team of onshore & offshore personnel, who’s job, much like your own, is to deliver growth to the MENA region while developing as individuals and building continually successful careers with Motive.

You will also be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team – in the UK and globally – that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.

Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopting and promoting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Liaise closely with the Sales & Operations Teams to ensure all aspects of secured work is handed over effectively, is clearly understood, and is communicated accurately amongst the PM and Operational Delivery teams.
  • Liaise closely with the Operational Delivery team to ensure scopes of work, project specifications, priorities, plans, schedules, and any other information required to successfully deliver against all clients’ requirements are clearly communicated, understood, and agreed.
  • Liaising with other members of Motive MENA and Group to ensure our service is supplied to the highest levels of quality.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Facilitate team meetings, workshops, and discussions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners

Planet

  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that project activities comply with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Work in accordance with Motive policies and procedures continually looking for and implementing opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies. 
  • Support the implementation of regional policies and procedures that support sustainability and corporate social responsibility
  • Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.

Product

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage potential delays.
  • Identify and manage project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates and manage expectations.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure that costs remain within approved limits.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
  • Handle scope changes through formal change control processes.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure timely project closure, obtain stakeholder sign-off, and conduct project reviews.
  • Document project processes, lessons learned, and best practices for future reference.
  • Liaise with third party contractors to ensure full compliance with the specific requirements of a project and manage contractors when on site.
     

Required skills / knowledge:

  • Significant experience of leading multiple projects in the Marine and/or Oil & Gas sectors
  • Thorough knowledge of formal project management methods, processes, procedures, techniques, and tools. 
  • Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, preferably in an Engineering discipline, would be advantageous.
  • Experience and expertise in using Microsoft Project.
  • Experience of managing complex engineering projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Experience of leading a projects team. 
  • Be recognised as a positive driving force within the business.
