HR & Office Management Coordinator

Do you enjoy combining structure with people's interaction, and do you get energy from supporting colleagues in their daily work? At NKT Netherlands, this role allows you to make a real impact by supporting people related processes while contributing to a well-organized and welcoming workplace during a period of growth.

NKT is a global leader in power cable solutions, enabling the world’s transition to renewable energy and sustainable electrification. In the Netherlands, our organization is growing, and with that growth comes the need for strong, people focused HR support close to the business.

Company / Team Context

NKT develops and delivers high-quality power cable solutions for onshore and offshore projects worldwide. From our Rotterdam office, we support complex, international projects that contribute directly to the green transition. Our local teams work closely with colleagues across Europe and beyond, combining technical expertise with strong support functions to enable project success.

HR & Office Management Team

The role is based in Rotterdam and works closely with the HR Manager NL and in daily coordination with the Office Manager. Positioned between HR operations and office coordination, the role combines structured administration with frequent interaction with employees and managers.

You support colleagues throughout the full employee life cycle. This includes welcoming new hires, supporting onboarding, answering HR related questions, and ensuring smooth offboarding. You are a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, terms and conditions, leave and practical people topics, helping translate policies into clear and workable guidance.

Recruitment is also part of the role. You support hiring processes by coordinating vacancies, scheduling interviews, and interacting with candidates, contributing to a professional, transparent, and welcoming candidate experience. This gives you direct exposure to hiring activities and close collaboration with managers and recruitment partners.

Alongside HR activities, you support office related coordination that directly impacts employees, such as onboarding logistics and general office administration linked to employee support. You collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Finance, IT, Facilities, HSE and Procurement, while ownership of facilities and vendor management remains with the Office Manager. In this role, you help ensure that HR and office processes are compliant with Dutch legislation, well-organized and continuously improving as the organization grows.

What you bring to the team:

  • You bring a combination of HR knowledge, organizational skills and a people oriented mindset, together with the ability to work comfortably in a growing, international organization.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Human Resource Management or a comparable field
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR operational or coordination role
  • Experience with payroll processes and Dutch labor law
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience working with HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • A structured, accurate and reliable way of working, with strong attention to confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with different stakeholders
  • Enjoyment of working in a diverse, inclusive and international environment
  • Comfort with change, coordination and continuous improvement

At NKT, we believe our people are key to our success. We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where different perspectives are valued, and collaboration is encouraged. You will have the opportunity to further develop your HR expertise, gain exposure to recruitment and stakeholder management, and contribute to a people oriented culture in an organization that is actively shaping the energy transition.

Application Process

We review applications on an ongoing basis. If you have questions about the role, please contact Pieter van den Eijnden on LinkedIn. Please note that applications sent by email cannot be considered due to GDPR regulations.

About NKT

Our company at a glance

In a globalised and interconnected world, with a rapidly increasing population and demand for a modern lifestyle, the need for power is constantly growing. At NKT, we have made it our purpose to bring power to life by helping meet the growing need for energy.

Founded in 1891, during the second industrial revolution, we pioneered the cable industry in the Nordics. Today, we master the fourth industrial revolution with our energy transportation expertise and cost-effective manufacturing facilities at the highest technological level, delivering lifetime value to our customers and the global society.

Trusted partnerships

We take pride in long-term relationships and effortless collaborations, making doing business with us simple, convenient, and efficient. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, maybe because we see ourselves as both their local partner and international supplier, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the right cable solution.

Performing in real life

The environments in which our products and solutions function are often harsh and unfriendly. Laying down a long sea cable on the ocean floor in an unexpected storm or repairing 100-year-old power cables in the ground of a busy metropolis is not for everyone. We know that performance counts in challenging circumstances, and that is when we deliver.
