  • Develop and manage a forward-looking marine crossing roadmap, including key requirements and dependencies.
  • Review and coordinate third-party technical and operational requirements relating to crossing design, agreements, specifications and vessel operations.
  • Support the development of crossing methodology concepts with the marine engineering team and subcontractors, and align these with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate risk workshops with third-party asset owners, supported by marine engineering, H&S teams and subcontractors, including HIRAs, HAZIDs and HAZOPs where required.
  • Manage identified risks through to close-out in collaboration with the marine engineering team and subcontractors.
  • Support the development and review of detailed engineering procedures and as-built documentation packages.
  • Prepare and present interface status reports covering progress, risks and key issues.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of contract terms and scope to support communication, delivery and claims management.

Key attributes and skills

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
  • Collaborative, motivated, and self-managing, with a technical interest and a sense of responsibility.
  • Able to adjust to shifting priorities, with the ability to manage changing priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadline.
  • Experienced in resolving issues, balancing competing demands and managing sensitive stakeholder situations.
  • Previous engagement with project-specific third-party asset owners.
  • A UK-based candidate with easy access to client and third-party facilities in Glasgow and Aberdeen would be preferred.

Qualifications

You will have demonstrated experience in interface management, or a similar role, within the offshore construction industry. Experience in offshore EPCI projects, particularly subsea cable projects. Around 10 years’ experience in offshore projects

In addition, your CV should demonstrate:

  • A BSc, an MSc, in Marine Engineering, Project Management or a related field.

Our company at a glance

In a globalised and interconnected world, with a rapidly increasing population and demand for a modern lifestyle, the need for power is constantly growing. At NKT, we have made it our purpose to bring power to life by helping meet the growing need for energy.

Founded in 1891, during the second industrial revolution, we pioneered the cable industry in the Nordics. Today, we master the fourth industrial revolution with our energy transportation expertise and cost-effective manufacturing facilities at the highest technological level, delivering lifetime value to our customers and the global society.

Trusted partnerships

We take pride in long-term relationships and effortless collaborations, making doing business with us simple, convenient, and efficient. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, maybe because we see ourselves as both their local partner and international supplier, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the right cable solution.

Performing in real life

The environments in which our products and solutions function are often harsh and unfriendly. Laying down a long sea cable on the ocean floor in an unexpected storm or repairing 100-year-old power cables in the ground of a busy metropolis is not for everyone. We know that performance counts in challenging circumstances, and that is when we deliver.
