Jifmar is a worldwide maritime operator. As a core business, we charter workboats for our clients. Jifmar is much more than just a charterer, we provide our clients real support for their maritime project. Since Jifmar’s creation in 2005, we have been able to differentiate ourselves by offering our customers a tailor-made service and pushing the boundaries of what is available in the maritime industry based on innovation. For Jifmar, innovation is a driver.
At Jifmar, innovation is much more than just a buzzword: it’s a philosophy, a driver of progress and a fundamental part of our DNA. Innovation guides our every decision, defining our past, shaping our present and undoubtedly paving the way for our future. Since our genesis, we have been built around innovation. Innovation can take two main forms: innovation through use (incremental) or raw innovation (creative). Jifmar has built its identity on innovation through use, going beyond the established boundaries of the sector.
When we bought the JIF Xplorer, that was a tuna fish vessel and we transformed it to a multi-purpose survey vessel for the behalf of the French Ministry of Defence. To do that it had been cut in two parts to add the back deck and a 25 t gantry. Thus, we have developed the use of this type of vessel as well as the habits of our sector of activity. The multi-purpose vessel, which is at the heart of our business, is the very first illustration of this. One of the most recent examples is Canopée, the first hybrid industrial cargo ship.
Safety is a core value that underpins every aspect of our business. We regard safety as an absolute imperative, a non-negotiable priority that guides our every decision and action. For us, safety is much more than simply complying with standards and regulations. It is a culture rooted in our DNA, where protecting the lives, health and property of our employees, customers and partners is paramount.
Indeed, our history is one of a series of bold innovations: ideas that have taken shape, game-changing solutions and breakthroughs that have transformed the way the maritime industry is used by offering new solutions. But our commitment to innovation goes far beyond our past successes, it also lights our way into the future. Innovation is not just a business model or a means of stimulating economic growth, but also an essential catalyst for achieving sustainable performances, in harmony with the economic, social and environmental imperatives of our time.
For us, innovation is more than just an activity or a goal to be achieved; it’s our raison d’être, our passion and our promise to our customers, our employees and our world.
We provide our customers with real expertise. We combine years of practical experience with a deep understanding of market trends and the changing needs of our customers to maintain our commitment to excellence.
Sustainability is a fundamental value that guides our actions and shapes our vision of the future and is present at every level of our business. This means not only minimizing our impact on the environment, but also taking into account the social and economic dimensions of our decisions.
