Improve and secure NKT’s global OT network infrastructure

As Senior OT Network Security Engineer at NKT, you will play a central role in maintaining and evolving our global OT network infrastructure across our manufacturing sites. In this important position, you will work with advanced technologies, partner with international teams, and directly support the reliability and safety of our production operations. Design, develop, and secure advanced OT network environments

Build and optimise secure industrial network solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, developing, and improving NKT’s IT and OT Network Infrastructure architecture. You will work directly with setting up, upgrading, and interconnecting industrial networks to ensure stable, secure, and future‑ready operations across our manufacturing sites. You will cooperate closely with automation, production, and maintenance teams to deliver reliable OT network performance aligned with business needs.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Review and propose improvements to IT and OT network design and architecture.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical network components.
• Resolve network issues promptly across both hardware and software layers.
• Maintain and operate network infrastructure, ensuring stability and uptime.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance network configurations and security controls.

You will be part of the IT Infrastructure & Operations department, reporting to the Network Manager. The position is based in Kaunas, with up to 20 travel days per year internationally.

Experienced OT network specialist with a structured and collaborative approach

You thrive in an environment where conditions can shift quickly and secure, well‑structured network solutions are essential for smooth industrial operations. You own your tasks, follow a methodical process, and navigate intricate technical environments with confidence. Collaboration comes naturally to you — you communicate clearly, work well with both IT and production teams, and enjoy supporting others with your technical skills. You are driven by delivering reliable results and continuously improving network solutions.

You also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Industrial Automation or related field.
• At least 10 years' experience in IT and OT network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Practical experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Siemens network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ICS, Purdue Model, ISA/IEC 62443, industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet, OPC UA).
• Experience working with OT production networks.

Salary range for this position is from 4100 Eur to 5500 Eur Gross.
