Project Manager for Nuclear projects

Location: Marseille

Are you a Project Manager who thrives on turning complex heavy lifting and transport challenges into successful project deliveries?

At Mammoet, we deliver some of the world's most complex lifting, transport and installation projects. To support our continued growth in France, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the safe and successful execution of projects across a variety of industries.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our French operations. You will take ownership of projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. Working closely with clients, engineering, operations and commercial teams, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

CE QUE VOUS FEREZ

Reporting to the Operations Manager of Mammoet France, you will work alongside experienced engineering and operational colleagues in an environment where technical expertise, collaboration and project excellence go hand in hand.

If you enjoy managing complex projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering exceptional results for clients, this role is for you.

As Project Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects from start to finish. Where others see complexity, you see structure, planning and execution.

  • Managing the full project lifecycle, from project preparation and planning through to execution, completion and close-out.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, resource plans and risk assessments.
  • Leading project teams and coordinating activities across engineering, operations, commercial and subcontractor stakeholders.
  • Ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with contractual, technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring project performance, costs, progress and quality standards, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Managing project risks and opportunities while maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting contract management activities, including scope changes, claims and commercial discussions.
  • Conducting site visits and overseeing project activities to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across France and internationally to share expertise and support complex projects.
  • Providing regular project reporting and updates to management and clients.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the project management team.

CE DONT VOUS AUREZ BESOIN

  • 1 – 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within heavy lifting, transport, construction, renewables, oil & gas, offshore, ports or industrial services.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts and risks.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and sound financial understanding.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic project environment.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Willingness to travel within France and occasionally internationally.

CE QUE VOUS OBTIENDREZ

  • Highly competitive compensation aligned with experience.
  • A role with real ownership, managing projects from award to successful completion.
  • The opportunity to work for a global market leader known for executing extraordinary projects.
  • Exposure to large-scale, technically challenging projects with visibility across an international organization.
  • Close collaboration with world-class engineering and operations specialists on complex, high-value projects.
  • Access to cutting-edge equipment, technology and project methodologies.
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression into larger and more complex projects.
  • A performance-driven yet collaborative culture focused on safety, quality and project success.
