Support global procurement activities and category strategies

 

NKT is expanding its Group Procurement organization and is looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join the team in Kaunas. In this role, you will work closely with business lines, category managers, and suppliers to manage sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier relationships in an international environment. You will contribute to procurement initiatives that support competitiveness, supply chain resilience, and the green transition. Coordinate sourcing projects and supplier collaboration

 

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for executing sourcing projects aligned with category strategies and business needs. The role combines operational procurement activities with stakeholder collaboration, supplier management, and contract coverage, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and processes. You will act as a local point of contact towards Group Procurement while working closely with international teams.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Develop and execute tactical sourcing plans together with category managers and business lines.
  • Execute sourcing and negotiation activities within defined scopes and category strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance follow-up, and corrective actions.
  • Identify cost optimization initiatives and sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure contract coverage, compliance, and renewal activities.

 

The position is based in Kaunas, working in a hybrid setup according to company policy. You will report to the Senior Manager Sourcing and Project Management and collaborate with colleagues within category trams as well as across business lines, group functions, and suppliers globally.

 

Procurement professional with a methodological approach and collaboration skills

 

You enjoy working in a structured and methodical way and are comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders across different functions and cultures. You are comfortable challenging existing ways of working and contributing ideas that improve sourcing processes and supplier collaboration. You value clear communication, collaboration, and delivering reliable outcomes in a changing international environment.

You also have:

  • A university degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, experience from direct material sourcing considered an advantage.
  • Experience with negotiation and contract management.
  • Knowledge of sourcing processes, market analysis, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience working with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems.

Salary range for this position is from 3700 Eur to 4400 Eur Gross.
