In this pivotal role, you will architect, govern, and continuously optimize our SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud on Microsoft Azure, integrating SAP BTP services to deliver a secure, scalable, and resilient platform. You will act as the customer-side technical owner under RISE with SAP, oversee SLAs, KPIs, release planning, and automation—while promoting a Clean Core strategy and operations across DEV/QA/PROD. Architect, govern and optimize SAP S/4HANA platform

As the SAP Basis   BTP Lead Engineer, you will own platform stability, security, and performance for our S/4HANA Private Cloud on Azure. You will govern managed services under RISE with SAP, validate root-cause analyses, and coordinate escalations across SAP, Microsoft, and internal stakeholders. You will design and administer SAP BTP Global Accounts and Subaccounts, manage entitlements and cost controls, ensure secure connectivity via SAP Cloud Connector and SAP Cloud Identity Services, and oversee certificates, vulnerability mitigation, OS/Kernel/HANA patching, capacity reviews, and disaster recovery testing. You will implement automation, develop roadmaps for upgrades and BTP expansion, and maintain robust release management aligned with Clean Core principles.

Your responsibility will be to:
•    Govern SLAs, KPIs, service reports, maintenance windows, and releases
•    Escalations and major incident coordination across SAP/Azure/internal teams
•    Oversee HANA administration, performance, capacity, and EWA reviews
•    Design and manage BTP architecture, services, entitlements, and cost controls
•    Ensure secure S/4HANA–BTP connectivity, certificates, and vulnerability mitigation

You will be based at G3C Chennai, reporting to the Senior Manager – IT, and collaborating closely with Group IT service managers, architects, functional consultants, and software development teams. International travel may occur on a need's basis.

Experienced SAP Basis leader with BTP

 You are a structured problem-solver who brings high accountability and an improvement-driven mindset. You also have:
•    10+ years of SAP Basis experience, including enterprise-scale operations
•    3+ years supporting SAP S/4HANA environments (Private Cloud on Azure)
•    SAP HANA administration and performance tuning
•    SAP BTP services and architecture, including subaccount governance
•    SAP Cloud Connector and Azure AD SSO integration experience
•    Experience with RISE with SAP on Azure (CALM/SolMan/Focused Run)
