Project Engineer

What will you be doing:

As a Project Engineer, you will take projects from concept to completion. You will be primarily based in the office but if required, you will also support the project on site worldwide. You will work closely with experienced colleagues from engineering and operations, developing safe and innovative solutions for unique transport and installation challenges.

Your work includes:

  • Preparing and executing marine heavy transport projects.
  • Performing hydrostatic, hydrodynamic and mooring analysis.
  • Preparing ballasting plans for loading and discharge operations.
  • Designing project-specific support systems, grillage and seafastenings, and coordinating subcontracted steel work from fabrication to delivery.
  • Using your “brains and boots”: applying engineering knowledge while being hands-on during operations on deck.
  • You’ll receive significant freedom to shape your projects, contribute new ideas, and take ownership of safe and successful execution.

What do we ask:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime or offshore sector.
  • Affinity with Heavy Transport Vessels.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., DNVGL-ST-N001).
  • A practical mindset, willingness to travel internationally, and readiness to work both behind a desk and on deck.
  • Creativity, responsibility, and a drive for smart, safe, out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
