Coordinate onshore installation for major energy projects

Do you want to contribute to infrastructure that supports the energy transition in Europe? As Site Manager you will work on turnkey high‑voltage DC projects in Germany. You will be part of an international organization delivering cable systems and installation solutions for large transmission programs such as SuedLink and SuedOstLink. Are you looking for a site‑based role with clear responsibilities and direct impact on project execution?

Coordinate onshore installation activities for HV projects

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and quality‑focused execution of turnkey installation projects in the high‑voltage DC area. You will coordinate on‑site activities, support structured processes, and work closely with installation teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout execution.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Mobilize construction sites and coordinate resources and interfaces with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor on‑site installation activities to ensure quality and schedule adherence
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards, including instruction of internal and external team members
  • Participate in project and construction meetings, presenting status and progress and joining site inspections
  • Document daily activities, prepare reports, and contribute to work instructions and method statements supporting consistent execution

You will collaborate closely with the project organization and site teams. The role involves regular travel, typically Monday to Friday on construction sites within Germany.

Reliable and structured professional with site experience

You enjoy working in a practical, site‑based environment and value teamwork and clear coordination. You approach tasks in an organized way, communicate clearly with different stakeholders, and stay focused in situations with high activity levels. You take responsibility for your work and contribute to effective collaboration on site.

You also have:

  • A completed university of applied sciences degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or civil engineering, or several years of professional experience in site supervision or high‑voltage installation
  • Experience from linear or infrastructure construction sites
  • Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written
  • Routine use of standard software tools such as MS Office
  • A valid driving license (category B)

About NKT

Our company at a glance

In a globalised and interconnected world, with a rapidly increasing population and demand for a modern lifestyle, the need for power is constantly growing. At NKT, we have made it our purpose to bring power to life by helping meet the growing need for energy.

Founded in 1891, during the second industrial revolution, we pioneered the cable industry in the Nordics. Today, we master the fourth industrial revolution with our energy transportation expertise and cost-effective manufacturing facilities at the highest technological level, delivering lifetime value to our customers and the global society.

Trusted partnerships

We take pride in long-term relationships and effortless collaborations, making doing business with us simple, convenient, and efficient. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, maybe because we see ourselves as both their local partner and international supplier, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the right cable solution.

Performing in real life

The environments in which our products and solutions function are often harsh and unfriendly. Laying down a long sea cable on the ocean floor in an unexpected storm or repairing 100-year-old power cables in the ground of a busy metropolis is not for everyone. We know that performance counts in challenging circumstances, and that is when we deliver.
