Works Manager Dredging

As Works Manager, you are the driving force behind the flawless execution of our dredging operations. You lead the daily activities on site, safeguard planning, quality and safety, and ensure smooth coordination between all stakeholders. With your technical expertise and strong leadership, you elevate complex projects and guarantee safe, efficient and cost‑effective execution from start to finish.

As Works Manager, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating the execution of dredging activities. Your responsibilities include

• Planning, budgeting and applying appropriate dredging methods.
• Ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements related to the execution of the works.
• Ensuring that standards around quality, safety and environment are met.
• Participating in meetings with clients, authorities and other contractors on site.
• Reporting technical problems of the vessels or equipment to the appropriate colleagues.
• Daily reporting to and consultation with Project Manager, the project team and the Aalst office on daily production reporting and progress of works.
• Identifying opportunities for subcontractors in consultation with Project Manager.
• Resolving issues on the project or problems with third parties.

What do you need to have?

You hold a master's degree in an engineering/technical field and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the industry. By nature, you are a leadership person with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition, you have strong powers of persuasion and the right attitude towards safety, quality and the environment. You speak and write English and Dutch fluently.
