Trade Finance Advisor - bank guarantees

At Jan De Nul Group, we are looking for a Trade Finance Advisor for our central office in Aalst/Hofstade. In this role, you will be part of our Finance Department, applying your expertise in trade finance and bank guarantees to support international projects. You will play a key role in managing financial instruments and optimizing financial processes within a leading player in civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

As a Trade Finance Advisor, you are responsible for the operational processing of trade finance products. You provide financial support to international dredging, offshore, civil, and environmental projects.

• This includes the receipt and issuance of bank guarantees and documentary credits.
• You assess trade documents and analyze transactions.
• You serve as the point of contact for banks and other external parties.
• Additionally, you are responsible for the follow-up of banking products throughout their term (partial releases, amendments, expiry dates, etc.).

What do you need?

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in an economic or legal field. You are interested in Trade Finance Products and have some relevant experience. You are stress-resistant and work meticulously. You are a results-oriented person, driven, and possess a high degree of independence. You have an eye for detail and are organizationally skilled. You have strong communication skills and a good command of English. Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
