As a Quality Engineer you play a key role in monitoring Quality at our civil worksites in Belgium, more specific for Elia project in Gent and Bruges, we are looking for a Quality Advisor. You work within the central QHSSE department. 

Your Role

As a Quality Advisor, you provide support in the implementation of the quality management system on various civil construction sites in Belgium.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You prepare project quality plans and set up quality control for activities on the site, in consultation with the relevant departments. During this process, you ensure compliance with the Jan De Nul Group’s management system, customer requirements, and applicable legislation.

  • You act as the main contact for quality on the site assigned to you.

  • You advise project members on the project’s quality procedures and requirements, providing support when needed.

  • You provide necessary training to raise quality awareness on the project.

  • You assist in evaluating potential suppliers and subcontractors during the selection process.

  • You supervise the quality controls performed on the site, identify possible deviations, investigate their causes, and propose corrective measures.

  • You maintain clear communication with the project team, clients, and suppliers regarding quality-related matters, and help prepare the necessary quality reporting.

What you need:

  • You hold a bachelor or master's  degree in construction. You have several years of experience in quality management within construction for this central role.

  • Knowledge of Dutch is a must.

  • You are systematic and enjoy working with structure. You are pragmatic enough to adapt to new sites and teams. You are confident in rolling out the system and supporting teams in doing so.
  • You excel in communication, coaching, and guidance, have a problem-solving mindset, and take initiative to improve both project quality and the overall system.
