Subsidiary Envisan is Jan De Nul Group's testing ground for innovative processing techniques and environmental technological solutions, and more importantly, a springboard to a circular world. Activities such as remediating contaminated sites, processing excavated soils, solving environmental issues in ports, canals, and waterways, and sustainably redeveloping brownfields create win-win situations for both the environment and the client.

As a Project Engineer, you will be part of our prestigious projects to build new data centre in Charleroi, where you will work as part of a dedicated project team.

  • Presenting remediation concepts and budgets to the Business Unit Manager and the Commercial Area Manager.
  • Providing scientific and technical support to the Commercial Area Manager in the development of well-founded project proposals.
  • Guiding Junior Project Managers in the practical preparation of soil remediation projects and ensuring clear agreements with executing parties.
  • Monitoring the technical and financial aspects of soil remediation projects and responding quickly and efficiently to potential issues.
  • Supporting the tender department scientifically and technically in drafting well-supported proposals, including providing technical specifications and documentation.
  • Communicating with suppliers, clients, partners, and subcontractors during the tendering and execution phases to ensure accurate budgets and orders.
  • Supervising operational work on-site for international projects.
  • Coordinating planning and managing local workers during on-site execution, with a focus on time and budget management.

What do you need?

  • A Master’s degree in engineering or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the sector.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, remediation techniques, landfill installation techniques, processing techniques, and legislation regarding construction contracts is a plus.
