Jan De Nul Group – Dredging
At Jan De Nul Group, we are looking for a Project Cost Controller in Flanders. You will be based at our central offices in Hofstade (Aalst) and apply your financial expertise within civil engineering projects. In this role, you will start as a Project Cost Controller, closely monitoring and proactively managing the financial processes of our civil projects across Flanders.

As a Cost Controller, you are responsible for the analytical follow-up of costs and budget control for the civil and environmental projects assigned to you. You prepare reports with the aim of safeguarding the financial and operational objectives of the project.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
Preparing budget control and financial reporting for the assigned construction sites. You compile forecasts and provide updates on the order book.
Monitoring all costs and revenues of the assigned projects and preparing result reports.
Taking responsibility for the monthly accuracy of figures and making adjustments where necessary.
Reporting regularly in a structured and objective manner to management and/or senior management, enabling timely steering towards financial and strategic objectives.
Providing project managers and site managers with insight into the current and future financial results of the project or department and offering support when financial issues arise.
Staying up to date with evolutions and developments in the field of controlling and actively contributing ideas to further strengthen controlling within the team.

What Do You Need?
You hold a Master’s degree in an economic field (Applied Economics, Business Engineering or Business Administration) or a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. You have initial relevant work experience in controlling, accounting, or an audit environment. Experience in the civil sector is a plus.
You are analytical and communicate clearly and in a structured way. You work accurately and are process-oriented. You enjoy working as part of project teams but are also able to work independently.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
