Full Time
Posted on: April 29 2026
Your Work Context

Jan De Nul Group is a market leader in dredging and maritime works and also carries out numerous projects worldwide for the offshore market. The financial and administrative management of our projects is complex and requires the permanent on-site presence of a financial and administrative manager in the country where the project is being carried out. The Financial & Administrative Manager Site serves as the primary point of contact for the on-site project team regarding all financial and administrative matters related to the project and reports directly to the Area Controller for the region within the Finance department.

Your Role

Your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Handling project accounting from start to finish, including year-end closing and any external audits.
  • Budgeting and management reporting in accordance with the group’s reporting guidelines, as well as other forms of financial project reporting.
  • Preparing financial projections and contributing to the management of foreign exchange risks.
  • Assisting with client invoicing and accounts receivable management.
  • Coordinating intra-group invoicing.
  • Registrations with local authorities in the project country.
  • Opening and managing local, project-related bank accounts.
  • Financial and administrative tracking of import/export transactions for the project and logistics administration.
  • Assistance with monitoring bank guarantees.
  • Local payroll administration, including fulfilling immigration obligations for foreign staff and crew.
  • Responsible for local compliance (corporate law, labor law, tax law, etc.).
  • Administrative monitoring of relevant insurance policies.

What do you need to have?

You hold a master’s degree in economics or accounting and taxation. You will be assigned to various locations and projects around the world, working within one of our fixed expat rotation systems (two months of work followed by one month of leave). You are flexible, self-reliant, and proactive. You are a natural team player, full of energy, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You hold yourself to high standards in your work and naturally strive to improve both yourself and the organization. You have a broad interest in general financial monitoring, grounded in a thorough knowledge of statutory accounting and cost accounting. You have an eye for both detail and the bigger picture. Knowledge of English is a must, but additional language skills are, of course, a plus.
