Seatrade
The company:
Seatrade Groningen is one of the oldest and largest shipping companies in the Netherlands with almost 75 years of experience. Initially starting with the transport of general cargo, Seatrade now specializes in the transportation of deep-frozen fish, meat, and refrigerated cargo such as kiwis, avocados, and bananas with ships sailing worldwide. Over the years this department has handled projects at shipyards in Japan, Italy, Lithuania, Bulgaria and China. Its experience ranges from dry bulk container vessels and reefer vessels to extensive vessel conversion work. At present, Seatrade has newbuilding contracts for 6x 1800 TEU and 2x 2800 TEU container vessels in China.
The Newbuilding & Projects department’s Project Manager handles the aforementioned projects not merely as a standard developer, but from the initial design phase, through class approval, and throughout the construction process, up to the final delivery of the vessels to their owner.
