Damen Shiprepair Harbour & Voyage is a young, dynamic organization active in the exciting world of Heavy Offshore, Ship Repair, and Luxury Cruise Ships, LNG Ships, larger Container Ships, Bulk Carriers, etc.
In this world, we offer a wide range of services, from warranty to complete upgrades of complex systems, from supplying small parts to fully managing complex repairs, from replacing a cylinder to providing ship management, system renewal, to ship upgrades.
Additionally, we also provide project teams to offer service in a different way. This service is unlimited and always tailored to the client's needs, and is carried out worldwide.
Our teams operate from our service hubs located in multiple locations. The ultimate goal of the service is to get the floating objects and ships back in operation as quickly as possible. This is a world of hard work with a beautiful result.

Purpose of the role:
The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy of Harbour & Voyage. This role includes identifying new business opportunities, optimizing business processes, and expanding the product and service offerings.
The Commercial Manager plays a crucial role in the Management Team (MT) and contributes to the strategic decision-making of the company.
Tasks and responsibilities:
· Developing commercial strategies: Creating and implementing growth strategies to strengthen Harbour & Voyage's market position.
· Market analysis: Conducting market analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
· Product development: Expanding the product and service offerings by developing new products or improving existing ones.
· Customer relationships: Acquiring new customers and maintaining existing customer relationships.
· Marketing campaigns: Overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns.
· Reporting: Reporting progress and results to the management.
· Leadership: Leading and motivating the sales and marketing team.
· Budget management: Preparing and managing sales and marketing budgets.
· Contract negotiations: Conducting contract negotiations with new and existing customers.
Required skills and competencies:
· Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide the team.
· Analytical skills: Excellent analytical skills to identify and leverage market trends.
· Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
· Result-oriented: Focused on achieving commercial objectives and growth.
Education and experience:
· Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
· Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within the maritime or Heavy Offshore sector.
· Languages: Fluent in Dutch, English eventually Spanish.

Newbuild

Shiprepair & conversion
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) has a worldwide network of 18 repair and conversion yards with drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. DSC yards have extensive experience – completing more than 1,300 projects every year, from normal drydockings for scheduled maintenance to damage repair, right up to extensive refit and conversion projects.
Services
Being active in the maritime industry demands continuous vessel reliability. For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of services, including maintenance, spare parts delivery, training and the transfer of shipbuilding know-how.
Components
Damen is also specialised in the design and production of various marine components including propeller nozzles, rudders, special towing winches, anchors, anchor chains and steel works.
