Damen Shiprepair Curaçao (DSCu) is a growing company in the Caribbean owned by the Damen Shipyards Group. We are a renowned shipyard rich of history for more than 70 years’ that specializes in the repair and maintenance of all types of vessels. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Supervisor Electrical.
THE ROLE
A Supervisor Electrical is the person in charge of overseeing all electrical work during ship maintenance and repairs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Oversees ship repair operations by inspecting work scope, ensuring safety and proper preparation, coordinating team activities, and managing progress to deliver projects efficiently and on time.
•Acts as the (technical) point for Electrical activities on a project.
•Safely connects and disconnects electrical equipment on vessels.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
•SBO-4 level in Electrical Engineering.
•Certified based on NEN 3140 and NEN 3840.
•Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in ship repair.
•Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamentu is an advantage.

Newbuild

Shiprepair & conversion
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) has a worldwide network of 18 repair and conversion yards with drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. DSC yards have extensive experience – completing more than 1,300 projects every year, from normal drydockings for scheduled maintenance to damage repair, right up to extensive refit and conversion projects.
Services
Being active in the maritime industry demands continuous vessel reliability. For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of services, including maintenance, spare parts delivery, training and the transfer of shipbuilding know-how.
Components
Damen is also specialised in the design and production of various marine components including propeller nozzles, rudders, special towing winches, anchors, anchor chains and steel works.
