Ensuring installation excellence in global HV projects

The green transition is changing energy, and this role places you at the center of it. As an Installation Proposal Manager, you will contribute directly to large-scale high‑voltage cable projects that support offshore wind farms, interconnectors and power‑from‑shore developments. You will be part of a global organization that designs, manufactures and installs environmentally responsible and technologically advanced high‑voltage cable solutions for customers worldwide. This opportunity allows you to combine technical insight with commercial acumen while shaping project outcomes across international markets. Do you want to contribute to a rapidly expanding installation function that plays a vital role in accelerating the green transformation?

Oversee tender installation scope for global HV projects

In this role, you will take responsibility for the installation scope in assigned tenders, guiding the process from initial tendering through negotiations and contract award. You will work closely with international stakeholders to develop documentation packages, propose execution methodologies and present installation solutions that meet customer expectations. Your work will contribute to complex offshore and onshore projects across Europe and beyond, making this a key position in the industry.

Your responsibility will be to:

 • Oversee and support installation tendering processes from start to award

 • Develop scope descriptions, schedules, budgets and full documentation packages

 • Present installation solutions to clients and facilitate negotiations

 • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 • Identify, evaluate and negotiate with installation subcontractors

You will report to the Deputy Manager of Installation Tender Management and collaborate with global stakeholders. The role is based in Chennai or Mumbai and requires approximately 20–30 days of domestic and international travel annually.

Collaborative professional with a customer‑focused mindset

You are a motivated and structured person who thrives in an environment where technical understanding meets commercial thinking. You enjoy working collaboratively with global colleagues and bring an open mindset and communication style when interacting with internal teams and international clients. You navigate complexity with professionalism, take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute consistently to shared goals. Your creative and customer-focused approach helps you find solutions that improve tender outcomes and support long-term relationships.

You also have:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial or Civil Engineering
  • 15+ years of offshore tendering experience, including 5+ years in offshore installation
  • 5+ years working with remote international teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Projects and AutoCAD
  • High Voltage or Extra High Voltage cable installation experience

About NKT

Our company at a glance

In a globalised and interconnected world, with a rapidly increasing population and demand for a modern lifestyle, the need for power is constantly growing. At NKT, we have made it our purpose to bring power to life by helping meet the growing need for energy.

Founded in 1891, during the second industrial revolution, we pioneered the cable industry in the Nordics. Today, we master the fourth industrial revolution with our energy transportation expertise and cost-effective manufacturing facilities at the highest technological level, delivering lifetime value to our customers and the global society.

Trusted partnerships

We take pride in long-term relationships and effortless collaborations, making doing business with us simple, convenient, and efficient. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, maybe because we see ourselves as both their local partner and international supplier, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the right cable solution.

Performing in real life

The environments in which our products and solutions function are often harsh and unfriendly. Laying down a long sea cable on the ocean floor in an unexpected storm or repairing 100-year-old power cables in the ground of a busy metropolis is not for everyone. We know that performance counts in challenging circumstances, and that is when we deliver.
