Traineeship Finance

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Personal development: During your traineeship you and your mentor (senior professional within Damen) will focus on developing various key competencies and skills. Take part in a range of trainings alongside fellow trainees, designed to boost your skills, confidence, and career potential.
Unique traineeship: Every traineeship is tailored to your ambitions, talents and challenges.
Rotations: The two-year program consists of three to four rotations, selected based on your ambitions and goals together with the Traineeship Manager.
Leadership program: During the traineeship you will join the Damen Leadership Program which will prepare you for an ambitious career within Damen.
Social activities: We offer an active social culture including events and sports activities with fellow trainees and Young Damen.

KEY CRITERIA

What are the criteria to be eligible to apply for a traineeship?

Every year, there are limited spots available.

To be eligible to this program, you must hold a bachelor or master’s degree (not only limited to Finance), you must be willing to travel to different Damen locations, possess no more than two years of work experience and demonstrate curiosity, dedication and an open-minded attitude.

Next, you'll complete an online assessment, which decides if you will proceed to the interview and presentation stages.
Interview
Upon successfully clearing the assessment, you will be invited for an interview.
Presentation Panel
Once you've aced the interview, it is your turn to let us discover the amazing individual you are during a presentation which will be conducted by a panel.

Newbuild

Damen has delivered more than 6,500 vessels in 100 countries and delivers some 175 vessels annually to customers worldwide. Damen’s focus on standardisation, modular construction and keeping vessels on stock leads to short delivery times, low total cost of ownership and reliable performance. We offer a wide range of products including tugs, naval and patrol vessels, high speed craft, ferries, dredging, offshore vessels and superyachts.

Shiprepair & conversion

Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) has a worldwide network of 18 repair and conversion yards with drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. DSC yards have extensive experience – completing more than 1,300 projects every year, from normal drydockings for scheduled maintenance to damage repair, right up to extensive refit and conversion projects.

Services

Being active in the maritime industry demands continuous vessel reliability. For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of services, including maintenance, spare parts delivery, training and the transfer of shipbuilding know-how.

Components

Damen is also specialised in the design and production of various marine components including propeller nozzles, rudders, special towing winches, anchors, anchor chains and steel works.
