Wil jij altijd op verschillende schepen werken? Ben je niet bang om je handen vuil te maken en heb je geen hoogtevrees? Bij Joosten Inc. is er nooit een saai moment! Wij zijn op zoek naar een hands-on werker die zeeschepen wil reinigen en conserveren met onze professionele apparatuur.

Wat ga je doen?

Je reinigt de romp, tanks en ruimen van (zee)schepen. Hiervoor gebruik je:

  • Hogedrukreiniger (500 bar)

  • Gruisstraler met afstandsbediening

  • Hydrojet (2500 bar)

Daarnaast conserveer je schepen met airless verfspuiten of rollers.

Je werkzaamheden vinden voornamelijk plaats bij scheepswerf Niestern Sander, op de helling of in een van de dokken in de haven van Delfzijl. Incidenteel werk je ook op andere locaties, zoals de Eemshaven.

Wie zoeken we?

We zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste, leergierige kandidaat. Weet je nog niet hoe je met de apparatuur moet werken? Geen probleem, we leren het je graag!

Wat is belangrijk?

  • Je hebt geen hoogtevrees of angst voor kleine ruimtes.

  • Je vindt het niet erg om af en toe buiten kantoortijden of in het weekend te werken.

  • Je vindt het niet erg om je handen vuil te maken.

  • Je hebt een VCA-certificaat (of bent bereid dit te halen).

  • Je regelt zelf je vervoer naar je werk en huisvesting.

  • Je houdt ervan om af en toe eens te lachen, net als wij.

Shipyard

Location: Farmsum and Delfzijl
We design, build, maintain, and repair ships. Additionally, we specialize in complex ship conversions.

Heavy transport and cranes

Location: Throughout the Netherlands and Hörstel-Dreierwalde

Shipping

Guiding ships into the harbor, transporting wind turbines or a container crane across the sea, or positioning a bridge? With our tugboats, barges, and floating cranes, we handle it all!

Location: Schoonebeek and Oldenzaal
We offer a wide range of services for the energy industry in the Netherlands, the EU, and worldwide. From moving drilling rigs and rope access to maintaining installations.

Ferry service

Location: Nes (Ameland) and Lauwersoog
Every year, more than a million passengers board our ships to travel to and from the Wadden Islands of Schiermonnikoog and Ameland.

Stevedoring en storage

Location: Delfzijl and Eemshaven
We load and unload ships, trucks, and trains in the ports of Delfzijl and Eemshaven using forklifts, loaders, and cranes. We also provide storage for materials at our sites and terminals.

Cleaning and preservation

Location: Farmsum
Rust, old paint, or marine growth on ships? No problem! With vacuum cleaning, high-pressure cleaning, and hydrojetting, we guarantee clean ships. And with proper preservation, we ensure the treated objects are ready to last for years to come.

  • Number of employees: Approximately 3,000 specialists.

  • Sectors: Shipping (General Cargo), Offshore Services, Towing Services, Heavy Transport & Cranes, Shipbuilding (Niestern Sander), and Ferry Services (to Ameland and Schiermonnikoog).

  • Preferred educational level: LBO/MBO for operational, technical, and ferry roles; HBO/WO for engineering, coordination, and management positions.

  • Preferred education: Maritime Officer (Marof), Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, HSEQ Management, or Civil Engineering.
