  • Gestructureerd werkt (testen, checklists, documentatie)

  • Goed communiceert in Nederlands en Engels

Mooi meegenomen

* 40 vakantiedagen (13 ADV)
* Een goed salaris
* Goede pensioensregeling
* hybride werken, ongeveer 2 dagen per week thuiswerken.

  • Field service engineer

  • Technisch specialist in installaties of netwerken

ENGLISH:

IoT Project Engineer (Maritime)

Help build the future of smart shipping – from hardware to data

The digital revolution is transforming the maritime industry. Data and smart sensors are playing a key role in this shift. But without reliable hardware on board… there is no data.

That’s where you come in.

As an IoT Project Engineer, you ensure our onboard systems perform reliably. You prepare, test, and monitor the hardware that collects data – making sure everything runs smoothly, even in challenging environments.

What will you do?

You will operate at the intersection of hardware, connectivity, and data:

  • Compile hardware sets for new projects

  • Build and test systems in our workshop (pre-commissioning / FAT)

  • Support installations remotely together with Field Service Engineers

  • Monitor systems on board vessels and act on irregularities

  • Analyze technical issues and resolve them structurally

  • Ensure reliable remote access to onboard systems

  • Test new hardware configurations and sensors

  • Collaborate with project managers, data engineers, and logistics

What do you bring?

You don’t need to be a data engineer — hands-on technical skills and problem-solving ability matter most.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a technical background (MBO+/HBO or equivalent – electrical engineering, mechatronics, maritime, IT, or similar)

  • Has experience with hardware, installations, or industrial systems

  • Has basic knowledge of networking (IP, routers, remote access)

  • Enjoys troubleshooting and can think analytically

  • Works in a structured way (testing, checklists, documentation)
