About Damen Services
Damen Services is home to more than 300 dedicated maritime professionals who support our customers worldwide. With a culture shaped by craftsmanship, innovation, teamwork and entrepreneurship, we ensure every vessel performs at its best throughout its lifecycle.
Established in 2021, our Hamburg Service Hub is quickly developing into a mature, well‑established base for our service activities. From this strategic location, we serve customers across the Baltic region with fast response times, hands‑on support, vessel training and access to digital tools like Triton and MyDamen.
The Role – Shape the Service Experience of Tomorrow
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support. Technically, operationally and personally. You will combine problem-solving with hands‑on engineering, project coordination and customer interaction. This is your chance to contribute to sustainable maritime solutions within a dynamic, international environment that embraces innovation and continuous improvement.
Your key accountabilities:
Support & Solve
Deliver outstanding warranty and service support across multiple vessels.
Train clients and perform hands‑on engineering tasks and small technical projects.
Evaluate & Advise
Assess incoming warranty requests and provide proactive, customer‑focused solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor, offering clear, practical recommendations.
Coordinate & Execute
Prepare, organize and supervise service activities, sometimes on-site at the vessel.
Ensure solid technical preparations for every assignment.
Grow & Build
Join other Damen projects, from client visits to supplier onboarding and new regional initiatives.
Contribute to the continued growth of our young and ambitious Hamburg Hub team.

Thinks and Works Like an Engineer
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in maritime, mechanical or electrical service engineering is a strong advantage.
Communicates with Impact
Fluent in both English and German, with strong advisory and interpersonal skills.
Speaking Polish is a nice plus.
Acts with Purpose
Hands‑on, decisive, structured and flexible, always seeing possibilities. Picking up the tools occasionally and enjoying it.
Able to manage expectations, influence stakeholders and keep a cool head when needed.

Newbuild

We offer a wide range of products including tugs, naval and patrol vessels, high speed craft, ferries, dredging, offshore vessels and superyachts.
Shiprepair & conversion
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) has a worldwide network of 18 repair and conversion yards with drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. DSC yards have extensive experience – completing more than 1,300 projects every year, from normal drydockings for scheduled maintenance to damage repair, right up to extensive refit and conversion projects.
Services
Being active in the maritime industry demands continuous vessel reliability. For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of services, including maintenance, spare parts delivery, training and the transfer of shipbuilding know-how.
Components
Damen is also specialised in the design and production of various marine components including propeller nozzles, rudders, special towing winches, anchors, anchor chains and steel works.
