Purpose of Role

The SAT Dive Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of saturation diving systems   Reports to: Service Manager   Occupational Category: The SAT Dive Technician oversees the operation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of saturation diving systems and life support equipment, with a dedicated emphasis on the diving bell Launch and Recovery System.

Job Description

  • Maintain the full saturation diving system, including chambers, diving bell, control consoles, and life-support equipment as per IMCA PMS.
  • Verify correct functionality of electrical system, communications systems, CCTV, bell heating, environmental controls, Fire Fighting and gas reclaim systems.
  • Perform inspections and troubleshooting of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical components.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on SAT LARS, bell handling gear, Umbilical winch, clump weight winch and lifting systems.
  • Inspect and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, including pressure testing, leak detection, filtration, and contamination control
  • Perform electrical diagnostics of LARS including sensors, limit switches, control panels, interlocks, safety cut-outs, and emergency stop networks.
  • Perform inspection, repairs and servicing of all Dive system plant equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs, operational defect reports, and maintenance records according to IMCA guidelines.
  • On site visit for Diving equipment Maintenance and Service.
  • Perform Diving Service jobs in Unique FZE.
  • Work with Diving Production Team as per Requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 4–8+ years offshore commercial diving system maintenance on OEM-specific SAT systems including Unique Group, Drass and Dräger.
  • Proven experience with LARS A-frame, man-riding winches, HPUs, and hydraulic control.
  • Previous experience working with saturation systems, Diving Machineries, diving bells, compressors, hydraulic and gas systems.
  • Experience with SAT chamber complexes, deck decompression chambers, and bell handling.
