About us

Barge Master was founded on the determination to conquer weather downtime. We are dedicated to increasing workability at sea with innovative and practical solutions. Utilising our knowledge of motion compensation, we find ways to conquer the waves.

Fuelled by a passion for motion compensation

We see motion compensation as the perfect technology to keep the load still, the equipment stable and the people safe. Our solutions eliminate the need for bigger ships and provide a cost-effective answer to offshore limitations. With motion compensation, working at sea becomes almost as easy as working on land.

We’re well aware that sometimes a project needs a bit of extra work, a small tweak there, an extra cylinder here. With a track record of custom solutions, we’re more than willing to create, adapt, and build innovative motion compensation solutions for your project.

Solutions made of the highest quality

Barge Master solutions are developed in close cooperation with selected technology partners, such as Van Halteren Technologies  and our sister company Temporary Works Design (TWD). This cooperation allows us to ensure the highest quality in motion compensation solutions.

The innovative nature of the Barge Master concept is recognized by the European patent office, industry specialists and the Dutch Government through its innovations-office and several innovation awards. All our systems are certified by either DNV or Lloyds and are approved by national coast guards.
